(Above) Near Beverly Beach State Park, a youngster peacefully plays as the tide rolls in near the end of a sand-dumpingly luscious beach day.

It's a perfect, rare beach day with bright blue sky and hot sun! Sunbathers and surfers bring themselves and their boards out to revel in the unusual Oregon Coast weather....and then the chilly mists roll in out of nowhere off that cold Pacific Ocean! Yes, Oregonians know that their Coast is seldom long without fogs and mists, even on the warmest of summer days! (Summer 2002)
