Convention in Copper Mountain, Colorado, 2009
John finished
by updating the 96's interior into Saab 900 trim, a big improvement
according to owner Ray K. Partsgeek offers a pretty extensive

airplane as a major design element. This harks back to Saab's
famed origins in 1937 as "Svenska Aeroplan AB", later
with "Scania" as in "Saab-Scania" which originally
produced for the Sweden military two state of the art jet fighter
planes, the Viggen and the Gripen! Even today, 2019, Scania is
alive and well, producing heavy trucks and buses being used in
Scandanavia, Great Britain and many other countries. In addition,
SAAB AB is currently still a major player in the defense industry
of the U.S. and other countries! This has nothing to do with SAAB
autos,
but instead is all about SAAB's expertise flowing from it's original
identity as a maker of state of the art jet fighter airplanes.
